Data sources and transparency
Where our data comes from
Our gold prices are sourced from gold-api.com reference prices, which aggregate data from real-time commodity exchanges and market feeds. Prices are updated every 12 hours to reflect market movement while maintaining data stability for readers.
Methodology
We convert spot prices to local currencies using mid-market exchange rates. City-level rates in India, UAE, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia are calculated from the international spot price plus local market premiums. All calculations exclude taxes, duties, and jeweler making charges.
Accuracy and disclaimers
While we strive for accuracy, live gold prices fluctuate constantly. Our data updates every 12 hours and may lag real-time commodity trading. For high-frequency trading, currency arbitrage, or large purchases, always verify current prices with your local dealer or bullion supplier.
See our methodology page for detailed sourcing and calculation details.
